The 5K Trail Run will begin at 12:30 pm and wind through the 132-acre forest at Oakland Plantation, one of the local treasures that we have protected via a Conservation Easement. The run is predominantly on hard packed dirt trails or road, winds through the preserved forest and finishes on the avenue of oaks lining the main drive of this seldom seen historic plantation. Walkers are also welcome. Strollers are not recommended due to the terrain but are allowed if they remain with the walkers. Awards will be given out during the oyster roast. Registration includes admission to the oyster roast and a race t-shirt.
TheOyster Roast is from 1-4 pm on the picturesque lawn of the plantation house. Enjoy oysters and other food items, Palmetto Brewing Company beers, wine, and other beverages. Live music provided by Flatt City. And plenty of activities for the kids!
